I don't like this type of EDM. What's more I've never used Bey pop-side (including Single Ladies or Halo). I stan mainly for her R&B/urban music and I guess this song won't change it
I personally think Beyonce's timbre sounds GORGEOUS here. especially during the opening lines.. l personally love this dark, husky texture that makes itself apparent when she's chilling in the upper 4th/lower 5th octave..Her midrange is soo full in resonant and this shines when she pull back some of the vibrato and (vocal ornamentation) and just let her natural tonal qualities deliver the sentiment of the song..I also like that she opted for an airier more subtle falsetto than her usual siren-like headvoice..It adds a nice touch to the gripping production..it conveys a certain anxiety that works here..
