Right, but keep in mind there was no way I could have known that. On this board, when you say "Monotype," the general understanding is that you mean a team in the Monotype tier. Most of the people here agree with me.

OK but Blue's team was also, as he stated, actual mono-type pokemon, as well as a monotype team. You act like I bother to watch your showdown videos? I've watched like one in the last year
There may be a general understanding for it being monotype tier, but a) not all fans base their lives around smogon and b) Blue said he was looking for pure water types on the previous page. Regardless of whether or not it makes sense, your answer wasn't what he wanted.

Monotype in Pokemon means you've built your team AROUND one type. (Anything WATER, anything that FLIES, anything that breathes FIRE) not stuck to a single typed (anything without a secondary typing) team.
If you go by your definition then a Flying type mono wouldn't exist.
