Don't pay them much attention,it's very funny actually, american's love an underdog , that's why you see everybody fighting over what's real music and what's not and everybody trying to know an indie artist or a band before everybody else to make them feel a little more special, it's sad and laughable.
Trust me , if carly's album was as seccussfull as 1989 it would be equally dissmissed , i'm not saying it won't be criticly aclaimed because it's a great album , but it won't be as praised as it is by music snobs because as i sad america loves an underdog .we should know because taylor was one as well , she was seccussfull both comercially and criticly but she was always on the outside of the pop world so people didn't see her as a threat to other pop stars although she destroys them in sales and aclaim . But know she's the biggest star in the world so everybody is trying to descredit her somehow because in america if people buy your music you suck and you 're a label poppet .
Honestly the length i've seen people go to try and discredit her artistry are trully laughable and cringe worthy
Here's an example :
When she writes a song with an other person the hadlines are usually " So and so wrote a song FOR taylor " ibstead of co-wrote or with although everybody who works with her always says that she do 80% of the song alone before meeting with them . So of course when carly releases an eighties album , and it's great like i sad , they'll try to use it as to say taylor is overated or talentless just to bring her down.
