Some people may benefit from lower labor cost (business owners) but everyone else doesn't. The price of a good may be lower but so is your disposable income due to suppressed wages.

Yeah, there are tons of economic analyses about illegal immigration that come to the conclusion that they don't drain the system, depress wage rates, etc.

the fact that they're undocumented means that they're not federally recognised; they can easily get away with not paying, and many of them do. the little that's reported is chump change compared to the amount that they cost overall.

I wouldn't say it's "broken", but rather unstable. I'm aware of the long queue for US citizenship. But the border patrols--most specifically the Mexican ones-- are not something that can be overlooked. An overwhelming amount of immigrants isn't ideal, but at least they'll be citizens and pay taxes. It's more detrimental for the US to be allowing illegal immigrants in since they can make money and not pay taxes, which is hurting the economy since they're taking and not giving.
The only way I would ever be okay with handing out amnesty is if the border is strictly enforced. We have about 400k illegals coming through every year. Until that number is under like 50k for multiple years would amnesty even be an option. We gave amnesty in the 80s and the number of illegals tripled. You have to remove all social welfare and be willing to deport new arrivals (including families) as well. Otherwise we'll right back where we started 20 years from now.

Look at that Arizona law that was put in place a few years back. It profiled even legal immigrants or people that were born HERE simply for "looking illegal" as if that's a bad thing.

Yes, I agree it is too expensive. However there has to be some set cost to show that you won't be a burden on the people already there.
The fee should be way lower. We have to drive across the state to get passports done (**** ton of money for gas and passports). We had to pay for hundreds of thousands of dollars in taxes. An application and renewal fee is fair, but not at the current price. It keeps good people down.

Have you seen their coverage of the current European migrant crisis. 70% of the migrants are young men, but they only show images of women and children to conjure up guilt and emotional appeals. That is clear bias.
