Honestly no idea, I'm a Christian and it is definitely a religion, and most churches I know feel that way. Yours sound... weird

Why is it that every year Christians claim Jesus is coming?
|
Well, he is eventually. But no one knows when (the bible literally states this, so whenever people say they know the day the world ends I know it's NOT gonna be that day

) I think it's usually a combination of stupidity and paranoia. Again, a lot of the Christians I know don't do this.

Also that you have to read the Bible in order to follow the rules of life like no killing, stealing, etc. When they act like people don't adapt the basic morals from every day life?
|
I don't think it's so much for those specific rules, but I know the bible can be a good source of guidance with something confusing you sometimes. That said, I don't know if you need to read it daily (I don't), but I think the reason most Christians encourage reading it is the relationship with God aspect. Same for things like Prayer and Church. Like... imagine if you have someone you're really good friends with. But you don't write, call, text, speak, etc. You still care about them and like the person, but there's not really a strong relationship there since you're not in any kind of contact. Same basic idea applies here, I think.

Mess @ this being blown under the rug on such a flimsy basis. But you weren't clocked because, yes, you
are right. Everything from psychology to common sense to my own personal experience says being gay (or bi) is NOT a choice, people are born that way (I do think, psychologically, environment can play a role in that too, but that still isn't the same as having a choice nor does it make it any less of a who a person is). And while I know some people see homosexuality as a sin as is their right.. I dunno, I've always believed God made everyone perfect. And since I truly believe it's not a choice, it makes no sense to me that God would make someone "wrong" by creating them gay or whatever (I literally hate typing that sentence because it's so hateful and negative

) It just doesn't make sense to me for it to be wrong if that's the way God made someone and wants them to be.
