But on the year of 4 when they listen on the studio to all the songs to choose an order I heard this time she says I have to scrap 12 songs !!! I guess I heard wrong and she only spoke about the order

I guess she had 12 songs that were complete/in their final demos, and then the rest of the 73 probably range from concept demos, to rough demos, to demos, etc.

You probably heard it right though. Tracklists go through several phases. She brought those 70+ down to a minimal number and then you get the final pick and that becomes the album.
