I dont think that isa mega Greninja anymore. Its just a customization i think. the reason i think this is so is look at the picture.

that guy has a mega ring on his arm and a mega sceptile behind him while Ash has a different Greninja but no mega ring on his arm.

The character "Alain" has Zard X so Ash will most likely get Mega Sceptile

And yeah it isn't a Mega. They'd say so if it was one. It's called Ash's Greninja

Plus it isn't hiding a mechanic. It's just keeping the truth a secret until the game announcement/release. Kind of like when they say NEW POKEMON!! But nope it's just a new form or something.
