Nope. It's one of the theories of aging. Mutation accumulation. As you get older the telomeres on your chromosomes start to slowly disappear because of the way we copy our genes. If telomerase is turned off we don't regain them so slowly but surely your important, coding genes disappear causing mutations. After enough of them, you die
