It would be ridiculous if 1989 didn't win album of this year. No album released in 2014/2015 can compare to the success that 1989 has had.

I just can't with Taylor Swift stans thinking that she's gonna win with a generic pop album. The simple facts that she's already won that award and then went home empty-handed for Red should warn yall . Taylor Swift is no Stevie Wonder. When is the last time that they gave that award to a popstar btw ? Taylor was a country girl when she won (against a bunch of generic pop albums) and Adele was considered as the anti-popstar. Did Madonna and Mariah Carey ever win that even though they put out multiple critically acclaimed records ? I just can't

Let's not get ahead of ourselves sis. Every single album released had more success than Morning Phase yet it managed to grab AOTY.
