From most of what I can tell, most monsters didn't really listen to pop music until they were introduced to GaGa. She was their "breakway" artist like I imagine Britney was to others back in the day.

She seriously thought Trini Dem Flops would be good to release as a single over GOYK? Not really. All the monsters I've spoken to tell me they stanned Britney or rihanna before they moved on to Gagita. Some were Madead Gagz hybrids before they chose Gagz as the less embarrassing one to stan for
