Let's talk about what's wrong with Mamamoo. They have great vocals and stage presence: but it's too bad none of that matters when your songs suck so much ass. There is nothing special about most of Mamamoo's songs, they're boilerplate R&B tracks by the numbers that you've heard 100 times before. Nothing stimulating going on, nothing interesting or new, no curveballs, just extremely safe rehashing of a genre that stagnated and collapsed on itself in the mid-2000s due to its own derivative-ness. KPop itself is naturally copyist, so that compounds the problem of borrowing from a genre that itself hasn't progressed for a decade.

오늘 뭐해? / What Are You Doing Today? was released as the lead single from the group's
second mini album of the same name. The single peaked at #37 on the Gaon chart, their
second consecutive top 40 single.
The song starts out sounding like it's going to be a spiritual successor to Kara's awesome metal-tinged Wanna, but nope, instead we get a ****** J-Pop chorus smuggled out of a seedy AKB48 maid/idol-cafe that smells of stale pastries and semen.
