Yes. I actually live there. They have been placing out giant billboards protesting against the refugees and generating hate towards them. The billboards were saying "If you want to come to Hungary, you can't take our jobs!" "If you want to come to Hungary, you have to respect our culture!" and **** like that, the worst thing is that they wrote this IN HUNGARIAN, so none of the refugees could understand. Disgusting and pathetic. This cost about 10 million euros... And has been around for months. So instead of criminalizing and stigmatizing them, a normal government would have spent that money and advance time (this was way before the huge waves of refugees started fleeting their country) to prepare for their arrival with stable solutions, but no. Generating hatred was more important.
I'm happy to say though, that there's a significant percentage of the Hungarian citizens who volunteered to help them in their free time and these non-profit organisations do what authorities should be doing.
