Well, I listened to Janelle her album a LONG time ago and thought it was nice but somewhat overrated, so I left it alone. Then again I listened to it and thought it was just really hard to get into and somewhat monotonous, I felt like the ambition overwhelmed the listener and eclipsed the music.

BUT, it's been a long time since I last listened so I was going into it with my pre-judgement. Over these past few days I've been obsessed with the album, like crazy. It's all i'm listening to. I've just listened to High Violet. It's gotten an average of 8.18 as of now. The instrumentation is beautiful and the lyrics too. The voice is too monotonous and the songs are too similar one another for my taste but well. I'll try to give this and the other albums a second listen if I have time.

I agree. The songs do blend together, I first listened like two years ago and some of the tracks are still growing on me. England and Bloodbuzz Ohio were love @ first listen tho.
