Really! My score might have been influenced by the fact that I opted for an audio/visual experience while I sorted out my ratings; and damn, that was an EXPERIENCE. The melodrama! The crunchy curls! The wardrobe budget!
And I think it's a rather appealing musical package. There's a definite melody (which can't be said for about three Faith Evans tracks that will fare better in this rate simply because of her pedigree), I think Mya's a very "pleasant" (her thin timbre is rather fitting given the nature of the material) vocalist (supa might slit my throat, but I hear shades of Tinashe), and it's vaguely reminiscent of the sort of love ballad filler that might have landed on the B-side of an early Britney single had Britney not had to play coy about her desire to lose her virginity (for the second or third time).
There's a lot for a guy like me to enjoy!
