Yeah, I would send an email to ask. This is something they're very adamant about (when people email them to not count x review from a publication they use - they always get a "if we use x, we have to include them, we don't make the decision on not counting a review on an individual basis.")
But seeing the old thread, and many people mentioning they're sending emails, it is a bit suspect.
