1) Greece asked for money
2) Germany as one of the donators says, we will help you with our money when....
3) Greece said "yes please" (2010)
The thing is, Greece could have said no to austerity (which would have been the correct way).
The most important thing is: Greece needs to do reforms whether they stay in the Euro or not. There is no other way. The Economy is not competitive. It is not competitive inside the euro nor outside. Instead of doing strict austerity reforms (of which they have not done all of which were required) they did nothing on their own. If I were Tsipras I would have changed the constitution. I would have done many reforms in order to help the economy. And I would have asked the EU for guidance and help. But Greece has not done enough. It has not the will to change and be independent. That's my opinion. I would have left the Eurozone, especially when you resent Germany as much as they do there. The Eurozone is only still surviving bc of Germany. OFC Germany is anal abt its money in this case.
For the current situation in Greece, the Greek government(s) are to blame 75% and the EU 25%.
