Can a family of let's say..five members live off of a paycheck of a manual job in Austria?

A lot of people think here they're 'too good' to do manual jobs or jobs like cleaning or even work in supermarkets. Also there has been a shortage of qualified school leavers in Germany for a long time because graduates lack a basic understanding of fundamental subjects like maths and German.
There definitely are jobs but a problem I could see for refugees is that in Germany, on the job training is very unusual and you would be expected to have a certain education/qualification even for manual jobs which are considered 'simple'. So it could be difficult to find work.
