Someone missed out on the UV critical acclaim and evolution of themes/imagery.

Ultraviolence was anything but an evolution. It was a focus on one aspect of her aesthetic. Shes a one note artist. She has nothing to say beyond sad girl singing yet another cinematic sad ballad about tortured romance while name dropping streets in los angeles and crying about her entitlement. Like I said, I think shes cool for what she is. But everyone needs to stop pretending shes some step above the normal ATRL pop tart. Shes literally on the same level as a majority of the artists you all trash on here she just markets herself differently.
Ultraviolence was good, I think Honeymoon and Terrence are even better. But ultimately all shes doing is perfecting everything shes already done. She has nothing else to say and I kind of wish people would acknowledge her lack of dimension for once instead of acting as if shes some sort of substantial exception just because they're not capable of distinguishing substance from melancholy.
