Well in my opinion, what Miley said wasn't anything revolutionary or special; it seemed like she was just trying to get some clickbait. However I do agree with what she said.
The situation was already public since Nicki went on a Twitter tirade and made it an open forum for anyone to put their two cents in, so there's no need for Miley to relay her opinion in private when everyone else is doing it in public, especially when there's nothing that needs to be specifically said in private.
It's like wanting a student to whisper the answer to a question that the teacher asked the entire class to answer outwardly. You can but, what's the point?
