Tried snatching the album thread I won't be able to get
We can't win against all these people wanting to see her fall down or snatch a hit thread about her on these forums. Adele's brand is too powerful right now.
Do you guys still think she's going to cover "Never Gonna Tear Us Apart" on the new record? I feel like because Paloma Faith covered it, and they're so similar, it wouldn't be in her best interest to do it. Speaking of Bette Midler, though, I'd die if she ever covered "Wind Beneath My Wings." My grandma and I call that "our song." It's really special to us and it would mean the world to me if Adele covered it.

Well, after the "inside news" affirming that she hated the result of the cover, I was pretty sure that she wouldn't be covering this song anymore. And there's also the fact Paloma already covered it and etc.
Yeah, I feel like if she thought the vocals on "Never Gonna Tear Us Apart" were "unconvincing" the first time around, why would it be different re-recorded? Maybe at one point she will record it, but I kind of like the element of surprise with the covers on the album, and technically, she'd just be using a re-recorded 21 track. I want something entirely new. And I'm still praying that at one point, she'll do a cover of "I Will Always Love You." She's said before that that song makes her cry and that she wants to cover Dolly Parton at some point; perfect opportunity! I would cry forever if she covered that song.
And BTW... Remember when Eminem had a commercial announcing his new single on the VMAs a few years ago for "Berzerk"? What if Adele did that this year? I know she won't, but it'd be cool if we were getting a single in a matter of days.
She could record (to release it in a Greatest Hits later, idk?) but I don't think it fit inside the possible theme of her new album. Right now, I just want an album with 100% of original content, tbh.
