People, like EOMM92 above me, have a negative connotation for Taylor's singles because She is just bad at choosing them. I wouldn't say She has any bad singles but all of Her best songs are album tracks.
The movie did a great job transferring the symbolism and the scenery from the video games. The video game fans just hate it because in the games it was the father that was the hero and the crazy lady that was the mother of the evil girl was not supposed to be good.

1989 is definitely a case where She has picked the best tracks for singles. Shake It Off - Blank Space - Style - Wildest Dreams - New Romantics. It kinda reveals that 1989 is a lesser album compared to Her last three albums though.
