I remember that year. "1,2 Step" AND "Lost Control" were up against each other.

She was nominated for Best New Arist and other stuff on her FIRST VMA. Only some new URBAN artist can do that.

In 2006 the winners were chosen by the fans. That was the year when Panic At The Disco won Video Of The Year. That year the biggest nominees of the night Shakira and Red Hot Chili Peppers only win one award and it was on the technical categories which were chosen by MTV.
