Same thots. DefJam just don't have a clue how to market her in this current musical climate given the sporadic, ever-changing sounds. You want to sell records, while maintaining an authentic, original and i guess timeless piece of music.
No-one truly cares for albums anymore, or like a big album rollout. Everything is so quick, instant, easy you need to market yourself so you capture the public's attention for a good few months like how Drake did with his mixtape [lol @ Kendrick].
Baesically, if whatever she releases isn't received warmly, it will affect how she's viewed in the public eye, and essentially her selling power. V critical album of hers.
