Miley is just defeating her whole point about petty feuds since her response will just create more cheap clickbait for the media. She should have just left it at "I didn't follow that" and changed the subject. Whether Nicki's motivations were in self-interest or not, Miley is just not in the right standing to critique this situation in an intelligent way because she lacks credibility herself. This will just be construed as brushing off racism.

it can be because no matter what kind of fan fiction ya'll here on ATRL wanna write u actually have no idea what was going thru Nicki's head when she sent those initial tweets

she probably actually wanted to say a lot more (re: racial politics of it all) but didn't want to be pinned as the angry black woman until Taylor kinda did that herself with her defensive ass tweet

and now Miley feels the need to sweep Nicki's feelings under the rug yet again because it's convenient for her to do so and it also deflects from the blatant cultural appropriation that she engages in


if i myself, being throughly anglo-saxon and translucently pale can put all of this together it really shouldn't be that hard for the rest of ya'll, but drag I guess! i imagine it's a lot easier living in the fantasy world where racism isn't a huge issue
