I'm actually struggling to find impact because unlike Britney or the Spice Girls or Adele there are no clear Taylor Swift copy cats. I guess Tori Kelly could be considered one? But no, she's more in the vein of Natasha Bedingfield.

She has started no trends, only followed them or made 'timeless' material that could have come out in any decade ("Shake It Off" would have smashed in 1985, 1995, 2005, or now).

She doesn't have any iconic visuals associated with her.

Some of her singles even from the "Fearless" era are pop-country and then from "Red" full pop.She had a different career path.

She's cool, but she also has those 5SOS stans and tumblr backing her up which is annoying. I was mad about the New Americana song too, but got over it and listened to her other songs, and they are pretty good. She's obviously a Lana stan and it shows in the music, definitely not a bad thing.
