4 is such a great album

OMG at all the good songs... I use Start Over, Lay Up Under Me and RunThe World as well.

I think she became my #1 fave with 4. BEYONCÉ sealed the deal.

Bey should name her next album Lone Star, since Texas is called The Lone Star State. That would be kind of epic, especially since Lone Star could be interpreted as "only star" which would be sort of bossy and reflect her current state as Queen B.

I love Michelle and her vocals are better than Letoya's... but visually, the group would be flawless with Letoya in it! Her dancing flows better with Bey and Kelly + she is hotter!

I was actually thinking that for once she should give an interesting and epic name for her albums ... I think that the best name and cover till now was BEYONCÉ, but i love when albums have those special names that describes the whole theme or sound of the album...

In hindsight, I realize how important "7/11" and "Feelin Myself" were to Beyonce's longevity.

Beyonce has always reinvitented her sound, while staying true to herself and the core of her genres. With these two songs, in addition with "BEYONCE," she really connected with the younger generation. Even something as trite as "Hit The Quan" has "Im Feelin Myself" in the lyrics. "7/11" and "Drunk In Love" references are very fluent too.

Very true, and I think its good that shes doing this kind of music now. I also see 7/11 more of a celebration. You could tell Bey was so relieved and happy that the entire era went the way it did. I rly hope its true that shes going to perform 7/11 live at the MIA festival. That would be amazing.

I totally agree, I think 7/11 was a great choice for a re-release single because actually, I know a lot of people became a little tired with the 'pretentious shtick' that the BEYONCÉ era conveyed, and while those people aren't really worth Bey's time, it's good that it brought her back down to Earth with a 'turn up' level type song.

Feelin' Myself and ***Flawless (Remix) also did this, especially the latter, because it showed she's not afraid to a) collaborate with her contemporary women peers and b) comment on rumours. They humbled her in the eyes of the GP, and particularly within the urban community.

I agree. As fun and levity-filled many of the songs were, the era was executed so flawlessly that it did have a certain aura to it. "7/11" brought it down to Earth in a fun and harmless way.

Did you guys see Cynthia Boyce's tweets? I don't know what to believe because up until recently she's been so credible but then she's started cursing people out and acting like a parody account.

Anyway, the urban tracks from self titled era really did lighten things. Flawless Remix, Drunk in Love, 7/11 and Feeling Myself had people thinking she was only making urban radio music though.
