I feel like ATRL doesn't give her enough credit, she's an incredible performer, a smart business woman, a fashion icon & an incredible actress, yet ATRL started side-eyeing her and discrediting after "A.K.A." flopped (& the multiple Pitbull collabos).
No, I think she gets enough praise. Most people here recognize that she's a great dancer. I'm not going to give her more praise for acting and singing because she doesn't deserve anymore. She's only a master of one of her trades.
Not ONE critically acclaimed album or even single (every single other girl has at least one.)
No respect from her peers (No Grammys, and let's not get into the acting side.)

1) She's extremely attractive (That wins you points alone in Hollywood)
2) She's not a great singer, but she's an okay singer that happened to work with good writers/producers back in the early 00's which gave her a successful music career.
3.) She's not a stellar actress, but she's a decent one. She hasn't really been in any massive or iconic movies, but her Selena portrayal was good so we'll give her some points there.
Sometimes, you don't have to be the best at everything to be a star in the entertainment business. If you're good at a lot of things, that accumulates and just makes your star power even greater, which is exactly what J-Lo had going for her
No. J.Lo is entertaining, but she's sort of a "meh" non-factor in the timeline of music history tbh. She's really lucky that she started when she did, and was able to ride that urban/pop wave in the late 90s and early 00s. She's also lucky that Tommy Mottola was looking for a personality to divert attention away from his ex Mariah.
