But she is kinda slaying, esp. when compared to Demi. I mean, she hasn't even properly promoted the song but it's been kinda steady on the Hot 100.

I don't mean in terms of how many bought the song, I mean in terms of how many ears the song reached. Millions of people can hear and love a song but not buy it. Sales can't accurately measure a song's popularity in instances like this.
