Part of it is pure nostalgia. I remember being seven and the video was CONSTANTLY on MTV, and my sister and I were just in wonderment of her earring attached to her nose ring. But I kind of "forgot" the song as I got older. Even when I became a real Janet fan, I played it here and there but it was always on the sidelines. Only in the past like four years has it blossomed
So Runaway is my favorite Janet song. janet. is my favorite of her albums. She (and her brother) used to make such decadent, 'sky is the limit' records. You rarely hear anything so opulent come out of major artists these days.
