One day Madonna walked into her own bedroom to find Guy doing more than just judo with his bodyguard. At first miffed that he was in her room and not in the crawlspace beneath the stairs that she'd designated for him, she was then horrified and finally saddened to discover that for all those years, she'd failed to satisfy her man. After scouring the sleaziest sex shops in London, she found the right fit. Putting it on in the bathroom while Guy waited on all fours in the next room, she stared at herself in the mirror for a moment.
"Well... I have to try to be a good girl... try to be his wife...."
I don't believe it for a single sec
Call me naive or whatever you want but I know a gay guy as soon as my eyes make contact.
Guy is not gay nor even bi.
There's a big difference between saturating a market (Sticky and Sweet) and ABSOLUTELY TARNISHING YOUR TOURING REPUTATION THANKS TO A HORRID SETLIST (MDNE Tour)
Plus those late arrivals
Anyway, back to Guy Ritchie's anal defloration
As much as i love ya, please STAWP!!
IT'S A MAJOR SHOW!
It's Theatrical and it's magic.
G*D, everyone would kill for their faves to do a SHOW like MDNA, ESPECIALLY with such horrific songs and 30 years after their debut
:... Now sit your ass down... "

Loyal fans can only pay so much for ha tours, it's all about the GeePee, if she wants to keep doing large shows she needs to pander to them a biT and MDNE was clearly not the case

Just out of curiosity, why do you feel the tour hurt her performing reputation with the public? I've never given it much thought and I'd love to hear yours.

She got tons of negative press for her start times, Boston and Philadelphia are infamous and Miami tons of people left with a bad taste and you can see it in her tour reviews on Ticketmaster.
As I mentioned before, me, as a hardcore fan, I'm pretty OK with Madonna putting tons of album tracks since I love most of her work, but we are not her biggest consumers tour-wise. Do you think 2,000,000 people bought tickets to listen to a slow version of Hung Up? No, what about I'm Addicted, I Don't Give A or that 6 min I'm A Sinner? no Revolver? Girl Gone Wild? Turn Up The Radio? Most of the audience was expecting a greatest hits tour in the US after being sold with the Superbowl
I'm fine with M doing whatever the hell she wants but there's no deny her reputation was severely damaged by the MDNE tour and the lack of second dates in Chicago, LA, and the O2 kind of give it away

I noticed she's gone from four Chicago dates in 2006 to just one in 2015.
I also have noticed you calling it the MDNE Tour multiple times. What is that about?
my friend got wasted and waited 2 hours and then was so gone dat he forgot dat he trashed Madonna to da local news station on his way out of da Arena lol
Lol, I want you to name another pop act to tour as extensively as she has for the past 14 years in the US and do as good. She toured America in 01, 04, 06, 08, 12 and 15. That's an average of less than 3 years (and without hits and stuff ).
Alan, I don't know what bad press you're talking about but the only negativity I saw was regarding her late entrances and, tbh, she totally deserves those.
I mean, it's utterly disrespectful to show up3hours after the scheduled time, especially for someone as demanding as she is!
But, regarding the show itself, I saw nothing but praise coming from the press.
In Europe, the scenario is even worst as she also toured in 09.

Go to Ticketmaster, the woman has a 3 star rating
She is doing way better than many artists but her tour power diminished and the MDNE tour played a big part, which puts her slayage into perspective
I asked a friend if she's going to see her in DC because she lives in Bethesda and she said ohh noo I love Madonna but I don't like her new stuff LOL!!1

I hate to play the blind Stan card but you do know a lot of haters go there only to trash her for the sake of it, don't you?
When the S&S TOur went on sale, media rushed to say she was over cause many dates were not sold out.
MDNE was even worse...
She's crossed the billion Mark already and this year's tour will finish around $300 million being an arena tour only.
IMO, Madonna is such a smart business woman, that while we, fans, keep on arguing:"why doesn't she tour all the world and breaks all the records? " she's saying :"ok Live Nation, this is business! I'm gonna give you this and that's it! See ya in 3 years, BYE! "
Just remember all the rumors stating how they were going crazy over her refusing to extend the MDNE Tour.....She's got more balls than 99% of the male population!

We don't talk anymore
That just bothers me so much. A co-worker saw her on MDNA and said she did too many new songs. In my head I'm just like, "well, that's your problem, not hers." I personally would never spend $200 on a concert ticket and then go in NOT knowing the artist's current music.
It's like there's this arbitrary expiration date when an artist instantly loses their mojo. At least that's how a lot of people make it seem. One day they all get together and decide the singer should just stick to her old stuff, her new stuff is no good, etc. They don't have to hear the new stuff necessarily, they just know it's no good. Because how could it possibly be worthy of attention or examination? Never mind that (to paraphrase another fave of mine, Tori Amos) a 20 year-old CANNOT talk about what a 50 year-old can talk about, and that older, more mature artists can offer useful and valuable perspectives. Let's just throw them overboard and decide they're past their prime; and in doing so, we'll take away their commercial vitality regardless of the artistic value of their later work, and then congratulate ourselves on being right about how much they must suck these days because no one will play their new single.
