I was just watching the 2nd episode of Asylum and the scene where Dr Arden has the prostitute over, and he starts talking to her about a music composer and the background of the song playing.....I wonder if that's another reference to American Psycho? He starts nonchalantly talking to his victims about music before murdering them in that movie.

Don't forget the Excorcist. This movie has been milked in many many horror films (Scary Movie, The Exorcism of Emily Rose, The Shrine,... - just to name a few). It was nice for a change that a boy (Jed Potter) would be possessed.
As far as being possessed by the Devil goes without changing their physical appearance I see similarities between Damien (The Omen) and Mary Eunice.
The Westfield High Victims of Murder House are totally a reference of the original Breakfast Club.
They all have use.
