The fact that the DS got 2 gens was mostly due it being really successful and thus lasting longer. If the DS era was only 5 years long like most console eras Gen 5 would have been a 3ds game.

gen 7 doesnt have to be solely on 3ds u know...we can easily have a gen 2 situation where gold silver was game boy and crystal was only game boy color... i told u stop being a Debbie downer

I need the next games to be for 3DS cuz I bought that console only for the Pokémon and Yu-Gi-Oh! games.
I'm not here for them not releasing at least another generation in the console.

THere surely will be a (a much) bigger jump from the 3DS to the next hanheld than there was from GB to GBC

The 3DS is ok at best. I mean sure you can do more with it than GF has done but in a few years it will just be a mess.
I mean the games are already laggy due to the models.

so?? what has to do with the first 2 versions being on 3ds and the 3rd on the new console? all more reason to make the 3rd version feel like an actual "new" game that deserves to be bought....

the 3ds is great and its ok at worst... i dont get were u coming from sometimes it seems u only disagree just to disagree...

I don't care about that. I like the games how they are now, I like these graphics they are still new and I'm pretty sure they can improve them just fine in the 3Ds. It's a great handheld and I dont think they should completely switch in such a short period when it has been so succesfull for them.

Is the NX even confirmed to be a handheld?

Because considering they didn't want to develop BW2 for the 3DS i think they don't want to split up a gen over 2 console gens (especially if they are over generic 3rd games)

The 3DS is not great when it comes to its specs. I love but that's just how it is same for the Wii and Wii U. I aso love them but their competition is ahead of them.

I didn't praise them. At best i said they are fine and that they don't bother me. I didn't say that lag is bothering me (much either). i just pointed out that it is currently causing the games to lag.

Obviously nothing is confirmed yet. Tho going by rumors that have come up again and again the NX could be a system with 2 components. Also judging by the lack much support the 3DS and the Wii U and the fact that they aren't selling that well anymore are getting it is clear that they want to move on.

Also Gen 3 has been just as successful for them (maybe even more) but they switched over to the next handheld.

They could make two versions of Typing Adventure 2: The Pokére-Up for 3DS and NX, but GF has already stated that they will not begin a generation in one system and end the generation in another system. Every game from the same gen will be playable solely in one system. New system, new gen. It's easy to comprehend, but I'm not surprised this needs to be explained in here.

The PS Vita has better specs. It maybe a huge flop (kiii) but it's display is alot better (HD or close to it)
It has a better processor. Better btterylife i think too. Edit: Oh and the Vita has mroe Ram too

But sis, all the signs point to another batch of cheap systems with the NX project. They want to sell them at a budget price and make it accesible to everyone. I mean, they could make a powerful system while still not going over the top with the price, but it's Nintendo we're talking about. And either way, even if it's a powerful system, Gen VII will still serve N64 graphics thanks to GF's efforts

Especially if the leave out the tablet which made the Wii U quite expensive.

Actually Blue is one of the few persons in here that actually back up their arguments with facts and reasoning, even if he's always wrong (I don't recall rn where you get that impression from) he still seems informed. Too bad most of the people in here feel the need to bash everyone who shows the ability to stablish a simple reasoning between two concepts, everything that goes out of the way of "lol my FAVE pokémon (i don't even know from which gen it's from) SLAYS yours YASSSSS *ru paul gif" type of comments is condemned as tragic and wrong. But hey, can you blame them?
