Yep. At the end of the day, singing is a meaningless talent if you're not singing anything good. That's why all the American Idols and X Factors fail miserably; they're told that their voice will get them far, but someone forgot to tell that that their voice needs to be singing something people want to hear. It's why Whitney had a superhuman voice but 90% of her discography is treacly, shallow crap and Madonna, who's live vocals are the personification of struggle, is the most acclaimed female pop star of all time by a WIDE margin.
