I only got back into simming via TS2 in 2008 I think, so it was too late for me to try The Sims Online, I didn't even know it existed until years later I had a fun time playing this straight couple when I first started simming and I remembered it was so hard to get them into a romantic relationship and have a baby, unlike TS3. I didn't even have any expansion packs back in the days, it was just the base game.

Moving into TS2, I first made a gay couple and played them without any cheats or anything. They were piss poor after buying the unfurnished house, the house was super dark cause I didn't even have money to buy house lights Wasn't long later that I discovered the motherload cheat and it changed my life forever

I think I was mostly loyal to TS3, I've been playing it since forever and more than the other older games too. I've probably taken thousands of pictures of that game already.

Sims 2 runs smoothly on my laptop, because they're mostly compatible. I can't get Sims 3 or Sims 4 to work correctly and smoothly unless its on my big PC computer, because that's mainly what it's built for.

TS4 runs smoothly with tons of CC, but The Sims 3 crashes a lot, it's not even funny
Probably because I have all expansion/stuff packs installed.

Mostly .sims3pack and some .package. None of them work, I even downloaded from a lot of different people so it must be a glitch in my game installation, I guess.

Weird, have you tried checking them out using the Dashboard tool to see if there's something wrong? Do you put them in the same mod folder as clothes & hair? I don't think you should have installed anything that's not from the Store using the launcher anyway, you could have use that tool to convert them to .package files and put it in the Mod folder instead. What other CC have you installed using the launcher? Can I have the link to what you downloaded?

.sims3package files are in Downloads, and .package in Mod. Every CC that affects appearance (clothes, hair) works.

Some of the files have both .sims3package and .package files and they still don't work :/

I downloaded this, for example.

Do you actually double clicked on the .sims3pack files to install them through the launcher or you just put them in the Download folder? Do you see the files you just installed in the Installed Content tab on the left side of the launcher?? Try deleting the cache files to see if they show up. Also check this out

You mean official or fan pics? Because most fan pics have 0 black sims, most people always go for the "porcelain doll" look which I think it's pretty bland.

It's so easy to do a generic "good looking" white sim.

You it's easier to convert Sims3packs into packages and just putting them in your Mods folder

I go through phases with the Sims, I can go without playing it for months but when I start playing it again, I'm addicted for ages.

Is The Sims 4 for Mac worth it? I have an origin account and downloaded the Sims 3 to try it out on a Mac but it would never open. In fact, none of my Origin games would open on my computer (MacBook Pro with Retina Display, 13-inch, early 2015 model).
