Lean On is trash I don't know why everyone says "OMG!! Rihanna should've recorded this!! #1!!" etc. The song won't be remembered this time next year by the GP, although neither will American Oxygen or BBHMM.

I also really don't want songs like BBHMM on the album, maybe back in 2011 I would've had a different opinion but I really want Rihanna to stick to the " raw, timeless " feel she stated the album had in March this year. Although I don't think any of the three singles we have match that description... however FourFiveSeconds is probably the closest thing we have this era to the "raw, timeless" feel. Although it's not one of my favourite Rihanna singles, it was something new from her and it made me so much more intrigued about the album.

BBHMM while it's a fun song, it's definitely not what I want from Rihanna this time round, but that's just my opinion. (However it wouldn't surprise me if the "reworked" R8 is packed full of urban/ratchet tracks)

it would be great to see R8 get critical acclaim and high sales and successful singles, but if the music is good then that should be all that matters... (but we are yet to hear a 10/10 track.. in my opinion)

Hip-hop has always been there and it's not Rihanna's first try.

When something is really trendy top 40 radios plays it massively and it's not the case.

If Rih's main priority was getting a number one song she would've ran to Luke/Max Martin/Sia/etc. and gotten one.

If Rih's main concern was putting out an album ASAP, we would've gotten it by now. It's not like she's received zero demos and has nothing to choose from.

If Rih's main concern was keeping us updated on R8, we would know exactly why all of these songs were released and what happened with the Kanye tour.

One comforting thing (for me at least) is that the album will pretty much answer all of our questions. Was she waiting on the Puma campaign to start? Did she re-record everything? Did she decide the older songs we haven't heard aren't worthy, and replace them with work from recent recording sessions?

Through detective work the navy will finally have some answers
