It was just frustrating to see her as a caring, sweet spirit as an old woman, but the version she showed to men just caused trouble. They never really showed her as the promiscuous, seductive version of her young self in flashbacks, only the scene where Constance's husband was trying to get her to have sex with him and she was refusing, and she was basically harassed/raped...he mentioned how they already did it once and she said it was a mistake.
It seems like a lot of the evil spirits in the house are basically exaggerated versions of their worst qualities when they were alive.
