Rih went to Roc Nation twice last week and probably finished the album in that one week in July when she went to the studio 24/7. Her sound engineer once said this year how some artist record 60-100 tracks and she records way less so everything will still be the same #R8.
Promised was recorded in the beginning of 2014 just like James Joint. FFS was recorded last summer. Y'all wanna see her flop so bad but this album will be the **** and y'all will ride her dick again just very soon
The album is clearly not being scrapped, Rihanna doesn't give two ****s about the "3 under performing singles". Yes they kinda weren't the huge smashes we expected!!!! And AO2 categorically flopped. Are you all happy now? The navy admits it!!! Nobody cares, they weren't built to smash, and they didnt pull a Diamonds. But you can all stfu about the album, Rihanna will do what she wants, and for the last 4 months, that has been going on holiday, so whatever. It's her label now, if she feels confident in the music, we will hear it. Make no mistake, this is not a 1989 type era, ambitious to the biggest pop act in the world and dominating the charts. That much is clear.
Also to that incredibly dumb poster who tried to condescendingly compare R8 to ST and claim Rih doesn't have the power to pull it off... guess what, nobody cares about that either lol! Nobody even claimed a surprise Rihanna release would compare to Bey's numbers. Either way, the album campaigns have been COMPLETELY different, so there is barely a comparison to make.

I'm totally here for the vibe we have been getting for R8 I don't really give a **** that they didn't do 'Rihanna level' well, months later I'm still listening and enjoying.
Various radio stations in the U.S. are reporting that R8 is delayed due to label issues and legal fights over(include KIIS FM, Alt 98.7, Power106, and MYFM) the rights to the songs.
I actually fell bad for her, 10 years or so in the business and she is still not allowed to do what she wants.

The year before the surprise release dropped, there was Bow Down / I Been On, Grown Woman, Standing In The Sun, and Rise Up. All of which failed to really do anything, nor does anyone really remember them in general. And save me the "they weren't singles" bullsh*t. Beyonce did almost just as much promoting for those songs as Rihanna has for any of her released songs this year.
