Rihanna has been the face of radio for a decade. She has so many bigger hits, and hits in general over Britney. So yeah, she will go down a higher Pop Artist.
I mean she has as many #1 hits as Michael Jackson, and people sit here still trying to think she's gonna end up forgotten and not in any record books. Be realistic!
Godga's album was actually the best selling album of a certain year (slobro can provide the details).
Deadney wasn't.
Only because it was re-released with 8 more songs
If she had let The Fame Monster as a completely separate studio album she would have never had the best selling album of a given year, Eminem would have outsold her in 2010 (which he did anyway according to monsters favourite source IFPI)

She won't be forgotten, no one said that
But Britney Spears is a cultural icon, and Rihanna isn't no matter how many hits she has
You can still joke about Britney being over, which she is
Yeah, Britney doesn't even have a #1 album in the UK (still the most influential music market in Europe & one of the most important music markets in the world). This myth that she was bigger than sliced bread during her peak and no one was even remotely close to her level is definitely nonsense.
I'm so glad the new label is actually investing in her and putting her to work with good producers. Even on her mixtapes the material was solid. Queen!
