She's put a lot more effort into the Circus tour and POM. In the Circus tour she always seemed happy, looked much prettier, and had much more class. She looks a bit messy sometimes in POM, true, but it's obvious she's still putting in some effort.
In Onyx, she was constantly unhappy and looked like a hot mess a lot of the time.

Circus tour fans need to realise that tour had good dates and bad dates. The difference is that the good dates can be counted on 1 hand while the bad dates were numerous.
None of her pre Circus tours had a single bad day except for that one date where she refused to perform cuz of the rain.
