There was a rumour going around that it was so bad because all the good songs they had locked in had a clause that she needed to promote the album and perform or whatever, and when she decided not to and to focus on Vegas instead, all those songs reverted back to their owners, which is also why Britney has a writing credit on every song, because since she co-wrote them they were the only ones she could keep.

I have no idea if it's true, but after "Scream & Shout" smashed so hard I really can't imagine Team Britney not being able to get a better lead single than "Work Bitch" without some behind the scenes mess interfering.

You don't have to live in a specific country to know that Carly is irrelevant there. No matter where you point at the map, chances are nobody has heard her music there. It's a matter of probability and math, us who are not blinded by sugary sweet tooth ache inducing pop are aware of this.

I really doubt Britney co-wrote all the songs. I think her team's just very stupid and out of touch, and Britney is in a different world than us.
