Almost no stars spoke up about it, the government wasn't doing anything and most people who did say something said it was a good thing and "God's punishment". She did it to make her own stupid insipid brand look 'edgy!' and 'down with the gay crowd go buy Vogue!'. It was just as much a tactic as the stuff you bemoan Gaga for.
