I don't even know how Taylor could write that, just LISTENING to it brings me to tears. The fact that she sat down and had to muster up the emotions and experiences that are expressed throughout this song.. This is what makes her stand out from her peers. This song alone invalidates the entire stigma that Taylor uses people for inspirations for songs.. The fact of the matter is that Taylor is just gifted in experience-based writing. This!! Also the fact that she gave Ronan's mother writing credits, because her blog was the inspiration, and gave the proceeds from the song to his cancer foundation invalidates all the greedy/calculated/fake/selfish comments made by haters

Don't know but UKmix reported that 1989 has sold more than 6000 copies and is Platinum. I highly doubt though that 6000 is platinum In India

It's not really visible on the video, but you can hear that's she is almost crying, especially with her mom like she said in her speech, but according to audience members she did cry a little.
