Their ENTIRE music industry is made $105 million and $100 million in revenue respectively, that is nothing. That's the equivalent to 10 million albums sold in the entire country per year.
China has a population of 1.35 billion, and India has a population of 1.2 billion. So yeah, by their means, their music industry is not relevant or thriving in any kind of way. 20K is Platinum in China, and they have trouble getting even 1 album to do that yearly in a population of 1.35 billion, so I wouldn't call their music industry 'relevant'.
By relevant music industry, I meant one in which is healthy, artists can make a living in, and is actually monitored properly.
This makes 1989 going platinum its first week in China even more impressive.
Or the fact Red is 2x platinum.
Idk about TS, F, or SN but they're always charting there.
How much better would the world be today if Taylor Swift, Nicky Minaj, Calvin Harris, Kim Kardashian, Kanye West, Beyoncé, Jay Z and Zayn Malik had all been on board MH370 before it disappeared for good?
From the small of my back and the arch of my feet
Lately I've been noticing the beautiful me
I'm all in my skin and I'm not gonna wait
I'm into myself in the most precious way
