Blackout is better than Loose and FS/LS imo. But to say that it wasn't influenced by those 2 is just....
FS/LS is one of the most iconic (for real) and trend-setting albums of the past 15 years.
The Danja songs on Blackout are on par with the FSLS/Loose stuff (and it's really personal opinion which you prefer) but the B&A stuff is what elevates Blackout above those other 2 for me.
“Taylor’s just been such an incredible inspiration and she’s just like one of my biggest supporters and I don’t think people know that as much as they think that she is.
She has always wanted to see me find what makes me different and never forced her opinion too much; she would just tell me what she believed and what she thinks I should do and I’ve known her for eight years!
So it’s something that we’ve always kind of been in tune with and at the AMAs when I performed ‘The Heart Wants What It Wants’ she was like sobbing backstage and she’s like, ‘I’m so proud of you, that was everything I always wanted people to see about you’, and it’s just like really cool. She’s incredible.”
Woo. Lord is gonna be such a great momager someday. Already practicing on Selegend and **** Harmony and Rachel Plantation and whoever else.
Calvin Harris has said that he decided to change his name to exploit the racial ambiguity of his stage moniker.
The 'Dance Wiv Me' star, born Adam Wiles in Dumfries, Scotland, told ShortList the reason behind the new name.
Harris said: "My first single was more of a soul track, and I thought Calvin Harris sounded a bit more racially ambiguous.
"I thought people might not know if I was black or not. After that, I was stuck with it."
The producer also revealed that he had no problems with recording 'Yeah, Yeah, Yeah, La, La, La' for inclusion in a Coca-Cola ad.
Harris added: "Not at all - it's 2009, and an advert is a decent way to get your records heard. There are things that you turn down, like adverts for pancakes, and there are things that you think are cool."
