I always thought the whole song was about her boasting about her thin etc she always is in spite of the media attention & how much pressure there is on her to keep up her image. In reality, she is just telling them to stop obsessing about her weight etc as she's still Miss American Dream since she was 17 & is actually a good mum etc.



However, I PREFER these misheard lyrics.

Yeah and they have the nerve to say 1999 when it comes to Britney Spears as if Xtina, Jessica Simpson, Pink, DC3, Mandy moore, Willa ford, LFO have one let alone two diamond albums.

There were people struggling to go platinum back in the late 90s/00s...

People (those that are not stans of taylor adele or britney) are just bothered that Britney's first album is 14x platinum in the states (30M shipped WW) and their faves with multiple albums are using her sales as a target for the future. We can play it both ways if they want to measure different times.

Pitchfork usually praises my faves and drags the acts I dislike. 7.4 is good enough coming from them.

They only give 9s and 10s to dusty old albums or unknown BAYAR-level boring flops.

Forget Pitchfork, Pretty Much Amazing gave it a A-

I want to say Emotion is an album so good it explodes expectations. But that would only be accurate if Carly Rae Jepsen were on my radar at all. No, Emotion is so good, it’s formed sky-high expectations out of thin air. I hope CRJ is prepared for NSA-like levels of surveillance in a couple of years
