I think I disagree. I really don't think it's up to anyone but the person themselves to say whether they're mature and know themselves and all. If they're wrong, hey, they're wrong - but they aren't always. Maturity isn't a game of absolutes. Not everyone changes that much forever.

Agreed, I know people who were mature at 15 and they're still the same mature person now, many years later.

girl I'm not an old fashioned photography expert but basically people would have to go to a dark room to develop photographs which involved a bunch of steps and yeah I don't feel like attempting to explain it any better so soz

All I'm saying is, revisit your teenage posts when you are, say, 22 and trust me you will be surprised at how differently you feel about yourself. People would tell me I was super mature for my age starting from when I was like 10, but I went back through my posts on another website from when I was 19 and let's just say I didn't have a positive reaction to how I was at that age

Believe me i'm right, you can ask pretty much anyone 25+ and i'm pretty certain 100% will say they thought they were mature as a teen but they really weren't. It's not something young people will understand, not to sound patronizing, it's just something you realize when you're older.

! "You'll understand when you're older" really applies here. That sounds bitchy and annoying as all hell, but it's true. I went through it and I know the teens now will go through it as well when they get older

Yeahhhhhh people always look down on younger versions of themselves (and younger people in general) as being immature and as knowing less about the world than they think they do, never realizing they'll be thinking the same exact thing about their present selves in just a few years.

Everyone's view of what constitutes "mature" is super biased in favor of whatever their current beliefs and opinions are. It's totally subjective and to hold up your ideal of maturity to other people is just wrong-headed, especially when it's so liable to change.
