? It came out before The Fox, and I don't really see any major points of comparison besides being fun songs. Gangnam Style was a refreshing and memorable novelty. Who would have thought an Asian-language song could smash that hard?
None of the videos with more than 800 million views (and most music videos, period) aren't exactly artistic masterpieces, so I don't see how Gangnam Style stands out as embarrassing. If anything, it's one of the videos from that crowd that I'm more likely to re-watch and, again, it's refreshing to see the world get together to enjoy some of Eastern culture in a big way.
