This. I knew I loved Iggy when she released 'Problem' with Mariana.
I loved Iggy since Fancy
Then I remember going on the music video and reading comments like "She replaced Nicki" and "Queen of Rap!!11!" and stopped going out of my way to defend her. It's sad when fanbases turn you off of an artist
It's actually really embarrassing to tell people you like Gaga. In fact, I was walking through my dorm last year, and someone on one of the halls started playing "Alejandro" (I can recognize the intro from listening to The Fame Monster so much) and as soon as I walked by, he switched it off.
The entire 'cultural appropriation' thing. She's used as a scapegoat now, unfortunately.
Azealia is to blame for this imo. The only thing she can be accused of is her blaccent. I don't know why Azealia has a problem with white rappers. She says she's stopping racism against blacks but why does she constantly spread racisms to whites

People (an extremely small amount, but still) listen to Lady Gaga
Oh, the "drag."
God, that was corny.
Like, uhh, yeah people generally have a tendency to listen to award winning, multi-talented and heavily praised musicians. It's been kind of a thing for a long while now.
The fact that some feign "shock11!1" at this is a tad bit disconcerting.
Azealia Banks, Rue from the Hunger Games (Amandla whatsherface), and everyone else can seriously piss off with the "cultural appropriation" nonsense.
I especially don't understand why some black people lose it when white people don afros or dreadlocks. No one says anything when black women wear weaves/wigs so their hair can resemble white women's. Or when Beyoncé does... other things to resemble white women.
Why do some music fans get SOOO offended over people who don't foam at the mouth for and ejaculate over the mere thought of Björk? I'm just not in the business of pretending to like things for cool points. That's not my thing.
