Might be going to Africa during march break to help build schools. It's been in discussion with my parents for a while but I think they're finally breaking. Sort of pooring all my savings into this trip, it's going to cost around 5K in total; hurts.

Nope, my friend's mom is a travel agent! We plan on going with a group of people, roughly 20.
oh cool!! Sounds like it'll be great, and you'll definitely learn a lot.
I know that in some universities they offer programs where you go abroad, help build infrastructure/develop services in rural communities and learn about international relations and other cultural topics. It sounds really cool, I might consider it tbh.
