You clearly were not a stan till the late 2000s decade. Clear Channel was a promoter and JIVE/Zomba was a failing indie record label. They only had Britney to live off of despite a huge hip-hop/R&B roster and that's why they sold to Sony. How would they have paid payola when they couldn't pay their employees?

Clear Channel was paying for Britney's concert to be part of her advertising team, not the other way around Do you know what a promoter is?

But went on to have the biggest male era of the 00s. You know 4 #1s from one album, and 11M sold in the US alone. SB 50 is not confirmed and very few big publications ran that story. And if they didn't have money why were they spending massive budgets on Brit's videos?

Trent your forgetting one important factor. The album was released before a single was announced. 828k people bought the album in its first 3 days of availability. So every Beyonce fan had drunk in love before it was released as a single. Only the GP bought her singles from the BEYONCÉ era because all the fans already had every song. If drunk in love was released before the album it would have sold double the amount if not triple.
